Wordle is No Longer Free

Carrie Bradshaw, Reporter

The ever beloved game Wordle was recently announced to be put behind the websites paywall.

The New York Times will start charging players to play the game starting on Monday, so enjoy these last few days of free playing.

The CEO of the Times, Meredith Kopit Levien, says, “What’s the point of giving out a game for free to everyone when we can’t make money from it? We really only didn’t make them pay for it to begin with so we wouldn’t have a riot on our hands.”

So, in protest to this change, take your pitchforks and torches to the streets of New York City in front of The New York Times building, and show the Times that the people care about Wordle more than any other game behind their paywall.
