If you’re sane, I’m sure there are few things other than the holidays that you like about the winter. I guess a few loony bins (I can’t really fathom the appeal of snow or frozen finger tips but maybe I’m just cold-hearted) enjoy frolicking in the snow, ice skating, skiing or other winter activities. But for those out there who don’t hibernate through this dreadful season because of the awesome trends, this is for you!

Faux fur is always in the fashion circulation but is extra-hot this season. Vests, legwarmers and oversized infinity scarves are also huge and a fantastic add-on to any outfit. And that’s what this winter is all about- those little additions that can make all the difference.

Luckily, for all our wallets, this season doesn’t mean we have to break the bank to look like we did. A few new scarves, head wraps, legwarmers and vests paired over a favorite oversized sweater or cute leggings will give the illusion that you spent hundreds on your easily revamped wardrobe.

The most desired material on the market is leather, so try to pair leather leggings or jeans with a leather finish over your favorite shirts.

What’s not hot is anything too formfitting. Now that goes for every year, but this season especially, bigger is better (when it comes to sweaters). Also, stay far, far away from super light colored jeans. Save those for the spring.

Disregard the wind-infested streets and get ready to strut your stuff down the ‘tagh runway with your new twist on winter classics.

And just on an aside- make sure your sweaters are long enough to cover your tushies… you don’t want to get frost bitten!
