Kendall Jenner Dumps Her Instagram

Queen of social media, Kendall Jenner, recently just deleted her Instagram account and all social media accounts off her phone. Jenner, who recently turned 21, was the 11th most followed person on Instagram, with a whopping 67.8 million followers. Her action, without any warning, to quit social media took the world by storm. CNN had even covered this topic because it was, and still is, so shocking.

While being interviewed on The Ellen Show, Jenner said surprisingly, “It’s so crazy to me that even became such huge news like that.” While Kendall may be shocked, no one else was shocked that this became huge news. So many people are freaking out about her leaving, especially super fans. Kendall had received texts from family and friends with links about different articles about her leaving.

“I also took my Twitter off my phone, like I didn’t delete my Twitter entirely, but I took the app off my phone. So I had no idea anyone was even talking about it. I honestly didn’t even think anyone would care.” It’s surprising to see a huge an A-list celebrity and supermodel think that no one would care that they are gone. Kendall Jenner’s Instagram feed was considered the best.

So, what made the social media star, take a move like Justin Bieber, and leave Instagram? All Kendall needed was a break. She proclaimed she needed to “detox from it.”

Kendall told Ellen Degeneres she felt too dependant on it, with Instagram being the first thing she looked at when she woke up, to the last thing she saw when she went to sleep. “I like find myself trying, like going to click on Instagram and it won’t be there and I kind of like love that. I don’t know, it’s kind of a refreshing feeling.”

Taking a break is always good, a lot of people want to, but can’t. It might sound crazy, but taking a break is harder than it seems. Social media becomes an obsession, and the withdrawals are hard to deal with.

Although it’s good to see Kendall doing well for herself, it’s upsetting to not be able to “stalk” one of your favorite celebs. But, don’t worry, Kendall said she will return. When? We don’t know. For now we will miss the queen of social media but can still catch her on Keeping Up With the Kardashian’s and on the cover of Vogue’s September issue.
