Since 2008 (when the triumphant “Iron Man” was released), Marvel has been expertly crafting their overlapping cinematic universe. Now a full ten years late, Marvel presents the most anticipated, movie in their collection: Avengers: Infinity War. Combining their legendary characters in one battle against quite possibly Marvel’s greatest villain (Thanos). The movie includes the Avengers, The Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man, Black Panther and many other previously established Marvel characters.

The film was met with instant acclaim from critics and audiences alike. In its opening weekend it earned a record breaking 640.9 million dollars worldwide making it one of the biggest openings of all time. In addition, it is currently the 14th highest grossing film of all time with a worldwide gross of $1.21 million.

The film itself is also very well made. With spectacular effects, great writing and a story that perfectly intertwines Marvel storylines and characters together. The action scenes in the movie are some of the best I’ve seen in a Marvel Movie and the emotional weight makes them all the more interesting. In fact many may argue that the emotional weight of the story is more fascinating than the action commonly associated with these heroes.

Avengers Infinity War is considered by many to be the greatest Marvel movie, and it certainly is the greatest achievement of Marvel cinematic universe. While it may seem like just another “superhero” movie cash-grab to the naked eye, the avid Marvel fan can see that it actually is much more than that. It is an emotional story about characters that many grew up with fighting side by side to save the world. It follows the lead of 2012s “The Avengers” by adding even more characters, plot and emotion to a meticulously intertwined storyline.
