Jones Beach Theater had a great amount of concerts this summer. It is exciting that Jones Beach Theater is only a 10-to-15-minute drive from where we live and many artists perform in our town. Additionally, if you purchase tickets at the right time, they can be very cheap.

The summer started off with BLI Summer Jam on June 15, with Shawn Mendes, Meghan Trainor, 5 Seconds of Summer, Backstreet Boys, and many more famous artists. That was followed by KTUphoria, the next day June 16, staring Shaggy, Pitbull, Charlie Puth and more.

The two-day concert, also the most popular one of the summer, Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival closed up the summer on August 18-19 and included 3 different stages.

“The concert was very enjoyable and walking from stage to stage made the concert thrilling to find out who was going to perform next!” said Sarah Benkovic, a Wantagh H.S. sophomore.

There were about 50 artists performing and each day had a lineup of about 11 hours. Although, most of the famous artists would begin at around 4:00 and the concert went to around 11:30 both days, the most popular performers on day one were Lil Xan, Rae Sremmurd and Halsey. Day two included Bella Thorne, French Montana, Rich The Kid, Machine Gun Kelly, DJ Snake, Future, and many more.

“It was amazing to see all my favorite artists all coming together to perform at one concert,” said WHS student Julia Enella, who also went to the Billboard Hot 100 concert.

More concerts throughout the summer were Kendrick Lamar, Rascal Flatts, Miranda Lambert, Kesha and Macklemore, Jimmy Buffett, Lady Antebellum and Darius Rucker, Brad Paisley, G-Eazy, Lil-Uzi Vert, and many more performers.

The concerts this summer varied from country music, rap and pop throughout the whole summer. I attended 6 concerts this summer at Jones Beach and it definitely made this summer more memorable.
