The “Endgame” Is Near
December 19, 2018
As 2018 comes to a close, the world was excited to see the first trailer for the fourth installment in The Avengers franchise, Avengers: Endgame, scheduled to be in theaters April 26, 2019. Since the release of Avengers: Infinity War in May, fans were eager to know how the story is going to tie up the loose ends. The 10-year arc of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes is finally coming to an end; and the world is hyping it up unlike any other film in history.
The trailer dropped December 7, and fanatics of the superhero genre couldn’t be more excited. The 2:26 video immediately went to No. 1, trending on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Youtube. As for the content of the trailer itself, the clip starts on Iron Man (Tony Stark), drifting off into space, alone in his thoughts, feeling defeated as half of the universe was wiped out by the Mad Titan, Thanos. The only heroes left are the original six: Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow, Thor, and Hawkeye. However, everyone lost people they love, and Hawkeye seems to be turning into a life of crime to cope with his pain. The Avengers are scattered across the Earth… and the galaxy.
Plot conspiracies about the movie have been uploaded on a crazy scale in the past three days, with everyone and their grandmas seeming to be talking about this movie. So many questions need to be answered from this trailer. Will Tony reunite with his team? Will The Avengers bring back the victims from the infamous “snap?” Nobody knows.
One thing Marvel fans DO know is that they are amped up and ready to watch this 10-year arc come to a close. April cannot come soon enough for Marvel fans all across the world.
