There’s plenty of buzz circulating about the 2019 Oscars. One of the most talked about spectacles was the intimate performance between Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. Their Academy Award winning movie, “A Star is Born,” came out in theaters on October 5, 2018. The romantic film stole the hearts of fans with its emotional soundtrack.

When the two stars performed their popular song, “Shallow” at the Oscars, the chemistry was off the charts. Many fans speculated about a relationship. There’s even rumors that Gaga recently broke off her engagement for Bradley Cooper. Although, in the movie they portray two characters who are in love, the co-stars have denied any form of a relationship multiple times and made it clear they’re just very good friends.

Gaga was recently interviewed on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” where she blamed social media for the accusations of their affair.

“This is a love song, ‘Shallow,’” said Gaga. “The movie, ‘A Star Is Born,’ it’s a love story. We worked so hard, we worked on that performance all week. From a performance perspective, it was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time.”

Allegedly, Bradley was the one that planned out the whole performance. It was important to both of them that they appeared connected throughout the entire time.

“I mean, look I’ve had my arms wrapped around Tony Bennett for three years touring the world,” Gaga said. “When you’re singing love songs, that’s what you want people to feel.”

Bradley’s current girlfriend, Irina Shayk recently spoke about the performance.

“Irina knows that Bradley and Gaga are artists. It’s a non-issue for her. They were in character putting on an Oscar performance,” a source told U.S. Weekly.

Essentially, even off screen the two stars were just playing a role. Sorry to the fans that are hoping for a secret romance between Gaga and Bradley, it is very clear the two are just friends.
