The Golden Globes have come and gone and the world finally knows who the best of the best are in film and television according to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. The big hitters are of course the awards for Best Picture in the Drama and Comedy/Musical categories and Best Actor and Actress in both of the aforementioned categories. Along with the usual Golden Globe Awards, there are also two annual honorary awards, the Cecil B. DeMille Award for “outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment” and the Carol Burnett Award for “outstanding contributions to television on or off the screen.” The first Golden Globes was in 1944 for film and television projects from 1943 and has become a staple in Hollywood with some performers spending their whole career chasing the Globe.

The winners of the 2023 Golden Globes are as follows:

• Best Supporting Actor – Motion Picture: Ke Huy Quan, Everything Everywhere All At Once
• Best Director – Motion Picture: Steven Spielberg, The Fablemans
• Best Screenplay – Motion Picture: Martin McDonagh, The Banshees of Inisherin
• Best Picture – Animated: Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio
• Best Picture – Non-English Language: Argentina 1985
• Best Score – Motion Picture: Justin Hurwitz, Babylon
• Best Song – Motion Picture: Naatu Naatu, RRR
• Best Drama Series: House of the Dragon
