Taylor Swift has once again shocked her fans and people around the world when releasing her latest album, “The Tortured Poets Departement” making it her eleventh original studio album to be released. Taylor Swift shocked her fans with the announcement of this album at the Grammys when she won album of the year. She continued this by releasing a double album only two hours after the original album’s release. This double album, “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology” brought the total number of songs up to 31 for this latest release.
Debuting in 2006 with her first album, “Taylor Swift,” Swift has grown globally as an artist and has continued writing and producing music. She has only gotten bigger because of her recent “Eras Tour” which started in March, 2023 and is expected to end December, 2024. Now that Swift has started the tour again in Paris, “The Tortured Poets Department” has officially been added to the tour setlist and it will only make her a more substantial music artist with an even longer show.
With the reveal of the new double album, “Tortured Poets” has also broken numerous records. On Spotify it was the fastest album to reach 1 billion streams on the first day of an album’s release. It also took over Billboard’s top 100, with the top 14 songs being from “The Tortured Poets Department.” Fans have appreciated and loved the new album as it has continued to gain streams and break records in the music industry.
