You may know young Miley Ray Cyrus as a successful Disney star from the hit show Hannah Montana. But this innocent star has a wild side. The devil in Miley first surfaced in December, 2010. She was caught smoking the drug Salvia out of a bong and there was a video up of her being irresponsible. Since then, the lost teen has been slowly spiraling out of control. You may know her now as that overly sexual short-haired girl from the 2013 VMA’s. Cyrus shocked the social media with her out-of-control sexual performance. Tweeters were tweeting and the outrages photos and videos of parodies of her performance began to attack the web.

“No one would ever suspect Miley to become the way she has,” says tenth grader Ashley Faverey. “She really shocked us all.”
Most adults and teens were shocked and discomforted by Cyrus’ new “I don’t give a damn” attitude. Even her own fiancé Liam Hemsworth had enough when he cancelled their engagement earlier this year. Ever since Cyrus got the spunky new dew people have looked at her strange.

Of course Cyrus’ new look makes people do a double take, but many support her change. People see it as artistic and expressing herself and getting away from her innocent child look. When Cyrus was asked why her performance was so outrageous she said, “You know we’re about to make history right now.”

Cyrus doesn’t care what people think about her, she believes people are overthinking too much about everything she does. She says, “What’s amazing is I think now, its days later and people are still talking about it. They’re over thinking it, you’re thinking about it more than I thought about it when I did it. Like, I didn’t even think about it ’cause that’s just me.”

Cyrus believes she’s just being herself and if you can’t deal with it than don’t watch. She is very confident with herself and isn’t afraid to show who she is through performances, songs or videos. “They all have a deep meaning to me, and that’s what’s important,” says Cyrus.

So for now Cyrus might be a wild child, but she knows exactly how to work the media and get the attention she thrives for. Now we all just have to sit back and watch where Cyrus will take us next.
