Fall – Comfy, Cozy and Warm by the Fire

As we say our final goodbyes to summer, we take a swift change into fall. One of its main features is leaves scattering everywhere. But, when I hear fall I think of sweaters, boots, and pumpkin flavored everything.

I can easily say the best thing about the fall season is the fashion that comes along with the brisk wind and chilly weather. “I love waking up and being about to just throw on a comfy sweater, leggings, and combat boots,” said sophomore Sara Sneddon. Most stores have officially made the switch from summer clothes and swimsuits to jeans and knitted sweaters. Summer clothing may be considered “cuter” and winter clothing is often consists of just laying clothing. On the other hand, fall clothing falls right in the middle, comfortable and cozy.

Another reason I love the fall is simply because of the fall food. In other words, comfort food. Who doesn’t love chicken noodle soup? There’s nothing better than the smell of the crockpot in my kitchen evaporating with such comforting scents. The site of hot caramelized coffee steaming on the counter next to a thick slice of pumpkin pie is essential during the fall time.

Fall is also the perfect weather. You can be outside without the sun beating down on your back creating thick sweat marks throughout your clothing. You also won’t freeze within the first 10 minutes you step outside. “I don’t mind the fall weather at all, it’s so cozy,” said sophomore Ashley Favery.
