Saying goodbye to Wantagh high school will be one of the hardest things I have to do in my life. I have made many amazing friendships with people that I will remember for the rest of my life. I am thankful for all the teachers and students who made these four years a true pleasure.

I joined journalism in 11th grade just to fill up my schedule. I didn’t realize that I was taking a class that I would look forward to everyday. I became part of the class thanks to Mrs. Lethbridge and Mrs. Magnuson who encouraged me to challenge myself. By taking journalism I have opened the door to so many more career paths I might be interested in so for that I am extremely grateful.

Most of my friendships are thanks to the Wantagh Football and Baseball programs. They have shaped me into the person I am today. They made me understand how it feels to win a playoff game, and lose a heartbreaking game with people you’ll never get to step on the field with again. They have made me mentally strong and I have my coaches to thank for that.

Leaving Wantagh High School will be a bittersweet experience for me. I am excited to start a new chapter at The University of Maine continuing my education and my baseball dreams. Leaving the people I’ve known for my whole life will be hard, but I’m excited to make new friends and new experiences. The class of 2024 has been put through a lot yet accomplished so much and I’m extremely proud to be part of it!
