Miss Cinnamo is the new guidance counselor at WHS. Wantagh High School is filled with incredible staff members who devote their time to making students as comfortable and stress free as possible. Miss Cinnamo is a wonderful new addition to the great staff at WHS.
Miss Cinnamo attended high school at Valley Stream North High School where she had an exceptional guidance counselor. Cinnamo understood she wanted to be that accepting and devoted for future generations. While in high school she was a part of JV and Varsity softball and was a member of the student peer organization where she helped foster relationships between younger and older students attending her school. She later attended Hofstra University.
While this is Miss Cinnamo’s first time in the guidance counselor position, she looks forward to helping students navigate high school and beginning to look into what their future entails. Miss Cinnamo enjoys being a support person for her students and impacting their high school experience in a positive way. “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel” This quote by Maya Angelo is one that Miss Cinnamo lives by. She thinks it’s a quote everyone can relate to and connect with.
When Miss Cinnamo is not in the work setting she enjoys a trip to the beach or spending the day with her family and friends. Miss Cinnamo enters the year with a great mindset and a positive attitude. If she could give all students a piece of advice she’d say “Be patient with yourself everything you’re going through has a solution you can find.
