Wantagh High School has given me memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. I am so sad to leave behind some of the teachers and friends that have impacted me most. I joined Journalism in 11th grade because I have always loved to read and write. I could never have imagined the role I would take on in this class and how much I would look forward to attending the class every other day. I was ecstatic when I was appointed the editor of entertainment articles in junior year, and I knew that I would do my best to produce engaging articles for the Wantagh study body to read. I would like to thank Mr. Rafferty, who became the adviser for The Warrior last year. He instantly stepped into the role and helped us all keep our papers on track.
In addition to journalism, I have made a lot of memories throughout my time as a cheerleader for Wantagh High School. I am so grateful that I got to cheer with my best friends, and meet so many amazing new people along the way. My friends have shaped me into the person I am today and for that, I am forever grateful. One of my favorite parts of writing for The Warrior was getting to cover all of my talented friends who were involved in many different sports. I loved highlighting their activities and making sure that all Wantagh sports got the attention they deserved. I would also like to thank my family for their constant support no matter what activity I was participating in throughout the past four years of highschool. My family inspires me everyday to push myself to be the best version of myself that I can be. None of my accomplishments would have been possible without my family and friends.
Writing for The Warrior held even more importance to me when I was deemed Co- Editor- In- Chief at the beginning of my senior year. I would like to thank my Co- Editor- In- Chief, Liz Kirchner, for being the best person to work with. I would like to thank the entire newspaper staff for all of their effort that made the paper so fun and easy to create. Although my time at Wantagh High School is done, I’m excited to further my education at the University of Florida next fall. Thank you Wantagh for everything!
