On September 12th, 2024, Wantagh celebrated its annual event known as “Back to School Night.”  During this event, parents come with their child’s schedule and go to each class. This event does not only give parents a chance to get to know their student’s teachers, but the types of class their child or children will be attending, including the difficulty.

Although far less populated than last year, the event was still a joyful one with plenty of student helpers to direct parents. There was Wantagh school merch being sold in the front including hoodies, shirts, and sweatpants. There was also entertainment.

At the beginning of the event , the orchestra played for everyone who entered.  During the event, the band played music and the chorus sang with their beautiful voices serenading everyone who passed.

By the end of the event, many parents and students were tired and ready to go to bed, but they will definitely be coming back next year.
