Wantagh Boys Basketball has begun a promising, exciting season. They began their season against Mepham, defeating the Pirates, 57-54. They stayed undefeated 3-0 until their first loss against Valley Stream. They improved to 7-2, with their strong determination and effort. “Our team all enjoys playing with each other and when we all play at our best as a team I don’t see many teams being able to stop us,” said Captain Kevin Gutfleisch. Today they stand 8-5. The Senior Captains – Kevin Gutfleisch, Cole Spinelli and Oliver Iacobazzi – lead their team with pride and joy and with the hope of bringing home a championship. “Having strong team chemistry and pushing each other so hard in practice made us successful,” said Senior captain Cole.  As of February 11, 2025, the boys officially made the playoffs and are continuing their fight to bring it all home! The Wantagh School District and its students support our Warriors and hope to see them succeed this season!
