Senior Goodbye: Annalisa Madonia

Annalisa Madonia, Reporter

When Ms. Flynn first asked me to write food articles for the paper, I was hesitant. I wasn’t sure if I would have the time, or if I was even qualified, as I have never taken a journalism course or a creative writing class prior. However she was adamant that I would make a great addition to the paper, so I took the opportunity, and I am so glad that I did.

Writing for the paper gave me an outlet to talk about the one thing I love more than anything: food.  Food, in my opinion, is one of the most important things as it gives us life, so we should enjoy every second as we create and share it. Writing for the newspaper solidified my love for food and showed me that I could pursue a career in food through writing.

After writing food articles and seeing my work published in the paper, I have decided to add a minor in journalism to my business marketing major while I study at the University of Vermont. With my degree, I hope to pursue a career in food, by opening a bakery and creating my own food articles or maybe even writing a cookbook.

I cannot thank Ms. Flynn and The Warrior enough for this opportunity and for changing the trajectory of my life for the better.
