On November 14th, thirteen of our finest student athletes signed their NCAA College Letters of Intent, committing to play a range of sports at a range of universities. Each student donned gear from their respective school and met in the gymnasium, celebrating the next stage of their athletic and academic careers. A recruit for the University of Maine, A.J. Bardi, commented on the ceremony, stating that “(i)t was cool to see where everyone was going,” and the Wantagh community couldn’t be prouder of these student-athletes. As a school, Wantagh is very focused on athleticism, and it has definitely paid off for these students: a gratifying start to their college journey.
The thirteen students, their future schools, and their sports are as follows:
Jesse Vanorden: Air Force Military Academy, Wrestling
Thomas Conway: Air Force Military Academy, Lacrosse
Jack Tate: Adelphi University, Baseball
William Greaves: Adelphi University, Lacrosse
A.J. Bardi: University of Maine, Baseball
Jake Martini: West Point Military Academy, Lacrosse
Jack Dankenbrink: Molloy University, Lacrosse
Casey Kissinger: Molloy University, Softball
Nyla Lester: Pace University, Lacrosse
Brighid Smith: Wagner College, Lacrosse
Sienna Diglio: University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Lacrosse
Joseph Clem: West Virginia University, Wrestling
Anthony Clem: West Virginia University, Wrestling
Congratulations to these incredible athletes, students, and people. The entire Wantagh community is proud of your achievements, and we cannot wait to see where you go next.
