Last Friday night the Wantagh Warriors played the Bethpage Eagles at Bethpage. Wantagh took a 7-0 lead on Dylan Scott’s 8-yard touchdown run with two minutes remaining in the first half but Bethpage edged Wantagh 14-7.

Kyle Gabrinowitz scored the winning TD with a 2-yard touchdown run with 1:01 left in the fourth quarter. Matt Schneider finished off the game with an interception with 42 seconds remaining on the Bethpage 40-yard line.

The Wantagh Warriors took 7-0 lead, but Bethpage tied the score on Gabrinowitz’s 47-yard touchdown run with six minutes left in the third quarter. Gabrinowitz led with 71 yards, while Ryan Hill had 60. Hill made 15 tackles, leading the defense against the Warriors. Wantagh’s Nick Teresky ran 64 yards and Dylan Scott with 40 along with his touchdown.

The Wantagh Warriors are now 3-3. They have another Friday night game October 19, away against Hewlett. The Warriors need to secure the next two wins to be able to host the first round of playoffs.
